"Film Festivals are a Movie Lovers Paradise!"

Film Festivals - As a huge fan of movies myself, I can't even express in words how much I adore them. There's simply something magical and fantastic about immersing oneself in movies for a period of time.
So just what is it we're talking about here? It's basically a focused presentation of films. Many times the films are presented in different venues, but one house can be used as well.
Usually there's a specific focus to the presentation - maybe genre, a specific filmmaker, subject matter or in many cases short films are showcased.
Speaking of short films, one of my all time favorites is the 48 Hour Film Project. In truth this is actually a competition, so I'll reserve the details for that page. But I thought I'd at least mention it here.
Historically, the first known festival was held in Venice in 1932. Other major events sprouted up between the 1930's and 1950's in locations such as Karlovy Vary, Raindance, Berlin, Edinburgh, Moscow and Cannes.
