Hitchcock's San Francisco on YouTubeNEW by: Anonymous
To clarify my above comment, in it I was referring to the wonderful YouTube video (which I believe was filmed in 1998) by Tim Moshansky - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcbeM0pBaqA – This video certainly brings back fond memories of both seeing Vertigo for the very first time - and of the many times I'd fly out west to spend time with my friends and relatives living in the San Francisco area.
Thanks for creating this great FUN FILM TALK site !!!

AbsolutelyGr8, but one thing is missing :(NEW by: Rodger
My uncle Joe Ebaugh left DC and moved to SF in early 1957 (when I was 5) and this movie has ALWAYS been one of my favorites due to that fact, along with seeing all those wonderful 50s cars and the splendid views of my favorite city in the whole world. My ONLY disappointment was that the 'Mc Kettrick Hotel' / Valdes mansion location - across from the Cathedral at Eddy n Gough WASN'T shown!!! The interior shots with Ellen Corby and the great architectural detail were one of my favorite parts of the movie. I spent many vacations in SF between 1972 and the early 80s, but can't remember if that frame building is still standing. Was back again in 2001, but forgot to check. In 1976 Joe bought a house on Masonic Ave - that Sophie Tucker had WJ Sloan decorate in 1947!
