"Michael Cera is a young Canadian film actor, musician and writer."
Michael Cera is a young and very upcoming Canadian film actor. Born in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, he's the son of Linda and Luigi Cera. He also has two sisters, his older sister Jordan and his younger sister Molly. He attended several shools growing up - Conestoga Public School, Robert H. Lagerquist Senior Public School, and Heart Lake Secondary School until the ninth grade. He completed High School via correspondence.
I first noticed him in Juno (2007), where he played "Paulie Bleeker", a young High School student who accidentally impregnates his friend Juno. (played by Ellen Page) I really enjoyed his persona in this film, and I'm delighted that the folks who cast this film knew to give him this role. I have to be honest. I'm a big fan of Michael Cera movies.
Michael Cera gets fired from Knocked Up (Spoof)
Something else I really love about this young man is that he's also a musician. This is something I always love to hear with talented folks, and Michael is certainly one of them.
Michael Cera & Charlyne Yi These two actor/musician/writers have been together for quite a long time, and unfortunately it looks as if their close relationship may be over. Rumors have surfaced alluding to the fact that Michael, itchy to enjoy his new found Hollywood fame, would like to date other women, and is therefore dumping his long time squeeze Charlyne Yi.
Mikey Cera and his longtime girlfriend Charlyne Yi
(Are these two cute as hell, or what?)
This news makes me sad for several reasons, not the least of which is that I really LOVE Charlyne. I caught her for the first time with her AMAZINGLY funny and goofy performance in Knocked Up (2007). She plays this super nerdy and eccectric girlfriend to one the the "patheticos" living together and everything that comes out of her mouth is simply comedy gold!
Also, the disloyalty and Hollywood selfishness can't be ignored. Michael certainly has the right to pursue his own happiness, and more power to him, but you'd love to believe that folks could have some better character in situations like this, and obviously he doesn't.
It has also been reported that Miss Yi is devastated by this turn of events. It must be especially tough to continue working together under these conditions. The two are currently involved in promoting "Paper Heart", a mockumentary they wrote and filmed. The film is supposed to follow their own relationship quite closely.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
No Michael Cera page would be complete without mentioning his newest movie project, Scott Pilgrim vs The World (2010). In this live action adaptation of a comic book character, Michael plays Scott Pilgrim, a young man who must defeat the seven former boyfriends of the woman he loves in order to secure her love in return. From what I can see in the trailer (below) this looks like a wildly funny and entertaining little film. Kudos to all who've brought it to us!

Yet Another Shameless Request for Web Content
It's very much like the days of old, when sailors travelled the seas in wooden ships and weathered storms and sea monsters alike. Or maybe even outer space itself, the last frontier, the undiscovered country, a faraway place where space aliens possibly thrive.
I don't know what any of that means, but please, if you have something fun or interesting to say about Micheal Cera, or Charlyne Yi, or Seth Rogan, or Judd Apatow, or ANYONE associated with this fine young actor, we're just desperate to hear about it...really! This is the place, and we've provided a super convenient way for you to do it. Below is a gorgeous white space (I know, I know, how gorgeous can any white space really be...Okay...) - a Content Submission Form, and it's all yours for the taking. Please do "have at it"!
